What My10 knows, and who can see it

My10 is a small private app run by Franktown Adventist. It is not a product, nothing in it is sold, and there is no advertising in it. This page says plainly what it holds.

About you

Your name and email address, both given to My10 by whoever invited you. The time you last signed in. Nothing else — no password, because My10 does not use one, and no payment details, because there is nothing to pay for.

About the people you carry

Their name, and whatever contact details you choose to add: email, phone, address. What step of the journey you have them on. Everything you record about being in touch with them, and anything you write down to remember.

Those people did not sign up for this, and that matters. Write about them the way you would want somebody to write about you — you are keeping notes on a real person who cannot see them. If any of them asks what is held about them, or asks for it to be deleted, tell Pastor Phil Mills and it will be done.

Your prayer list, and your quarterly

Who and what you are praying for, and which days you prayed. What you tick off in the quarterly, and anything you write in the weekly "report back" box. Nobody else can read your report-back — not your leader, not your class. If you want to share it, you say it out loud on Sabbath.

Who can see what

• Your ten, your notes and your prayer list are yours. No other member can see them.
• Leaders see how the church is doing, not who anybody is carrying: counts, how overdue each relationship is, and which step it is at. Names, notes, emails and phone numbers are never loaded into that screen at all.
• Administrators see the name and contact details of anyone you specifically ask to have added to the church's Planning Center directory — and only those. What you wrote for yourself stays in My10.

Signing in with Google or Apple

If you use one of those buttons, My10 receives your email address and an identifier for your account, and nothing else. It cannot read your email, your contacts, your calendar or your files, and it never posts anything anywhere. The email address is used for one thing: matching you to the account your church already made for you. My10 is invite-only, so signing in with Google or Apple does not create an account.

Where it lives

On a private server rented by Franktown Adventist, reached only over an encrypted connection. Backups are taken nightly and are themselves encrypted. Nothing is shared with any other company, and nothing is used to train anything.

Getting your data out, or deleted

Ask Pastor Phil Mills. You can have a copy of everything My10 holds about you, and you can have all of it deleted. Deleting your account deletes your ten, your notes, your prayer list and your quarterly along with it.
